EFW Radiology is committed to supporting Alberta Chiropractors and Physiotherapists.
Effective October 06, 2022, Diagnostic Imaging (DI) services referred by a chiropractor, physiotherapist, or audiologist will be insured under the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan (AHCIP).
The change allows practitioners to use their full scope of practice in supporting patient access to medically required services under the AHCIP. Practitioners may only refer for DI services if authorized to do so by their regulatory college, and must adhere to the relevant standards of practice.
